Heritage Sculptures On City Roads


The Chennai Corporation is putting up  theme-based traditional heritage sculptures on the city's traffic islands. One heritage sculpture is seen at Marian Beach road. The sculpture showcases the beauty of goods being transported on the Buckingham Canal in the olden days. 

It has fishermen and goods on a boat, finds place at is located  at the Dr Annie Besant Park. A sculptures of  endangered birds have been installed  at the intersection of South Canal Bank Road and Santhome High Road. The photo shows intersections at college road in Nungambakkam.
