Training Programmes On Spicy Products And Roof Gardening


            A one day training programmes on 'Spicy Products’ on Wednesday (06.04.2011) & ‘Roof Gardening’ on Friday (08.04.2011) will be conducted by the Urban Horticulture Development Centre (UHDC) of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University at New No.P-44, 6th Avenue, Anna Nagar, (Near K-4 Police Station) Chennai-40 from 9.30 am to 4.30pm. 

The course will cover the demonstrations of spicy products like sambar powder, rasam powder, coconut powder, curry leaf powder, gingelly powder, garam masala. chilly chicken masala, fish masala and chicken masala etc.,

The AGMARK Grading will be explained during the class. Roof gardening is a recent concept primarily intended for continuous supply of fresh fruits, vegetables through the year for family use. Apart from this, medicinal plants grown in roof garden can cure certain human diseases.

Establishment of Roof Garden not only provides toxic free fresh fruits and vegetables, but this can also circumvent the hot radiation and keep the flats or rooms at ambient temperature. Family members residing in urban and rural areas can easily establish and maintain the roof garden. Lunch, training material and certificates will be issued to all the participants. I
