The center median from Koyambedu flyover till CMBT is low-lying and damaged at several places. The broken center median with huge stones is posing a hindrance for the vehicle riders. The center median has many gaps, which is misused by bikes to cross over to the other side of the road. This is dangerous and can cause accidents.
A strong high median, with reflector lights and spaces for pedestrian crossing is needed along 100 Feet Road, Koyambedu in order to ensure free traffic movement on both directions and safety of the pedestrians. Another feature that adds to the woes of motorists is the poor quality of center median on city roads.
The median cover needs to be painted. Installing reflector could probably be the right thing to do in order to ensure that the median does not get damaged because road center medians are a step towards safe travel
