Frequent Traffic Congestion

Daily there is always heavy vehicle traffic congestion at the Nungambakkam Choolaimedu Railway Subway, near Loyola College. As Nelson Manickam Road links Anna Arch with Gemini flyover via Sterling Road and Nungambakkam High Road, the subway witness frequent traffic jams.

Traffic comes to a standstill on either side of the subway for more than an hour during peak hours. The subway needs an effective and permanent solution to ease traffic congestion. Vehicle riders moving towards Anna Nagar have a tough time.
