The construction of a flyover at Anna Nagar 2nd Avenue and Mogappair Road junction on Jawaharlal Nehru Road is in progress. But the construction work has made difficult for motorists. Vehicle riders Mogappair, Ambattur, Villivakkam and Redhills are most affected by the traffic jam at Thirumangalam signal junction. The flyover will come up near the Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board (TNSCB)’s commercial complex on Jawaharlal Nehru High Rd, Thirumangalam signal intersection and at the Mogappair Road-Jawaharlal Nehru High Road junction in Anna Nagar area at a cost of Rs 45 crore. The proposed four-lane flyover will reduce traffic congestion to a large extent and ensure smooth traffic flow.
