The Suburban Traffic Police has placed barricades at different intervals along the GST road stretch from Guindy to Tambaram, in order to control overspeeding. Also the road stretch from Madhavaram Bypass- Redhills Junction, NH5 in order to control and prevent over speeding of vehicles as there is frequent movement of heavy vehicles on this route..As many accidents involving heavy vehicles have occurred on this road stretch, heavy vehicles are not allowed to use the road from 8am to 11.30am and from 3pm to 5pm.
