New Honda bikes for appreciating valuable service

New Honda bikes were given to encourage and appreciate the work rendered by female staff at Chennai Corporation Crematoriums. Chief Guest Honorable Justice Thiru.K.Gnanaprakasam, Former Judge, High Court of Madras flagged off and handed over the keys for 4 two wheeler motor bikes to the female staffs working in Greater Chennai Corporation Velankadu and Otteri Crematoriums administrated by ICWO on 6th January 2017 at a function in Greater Chennai Corporation Velankadu Crematorium, New Avadi Road, Anna Nagar, Chennai. He appreciated the work carried out by ICWO in the crematorium. 

Dr.M.Baskaran, President, ICWO thanked the chief guest for immense support given by them for ICWO..One of the beneficiaries, Ms.Praveena Solomon, Care Taker, Greater Chennai Corporation Velankadu Crematorium thanked and appreciated the good support from Mr.Luc Bergeret family & friends, Village Service Trust, Belgium and ICWO. The two wheeler motor bikes will help us to reach the office in time and also return home safely during the late hours, Praveena added. Another, beneficiarie Ms.Esther Shanthi, Care Taker, Greater Chennai Corporation Otteri Crematorium said she feels happy and blessed to receive this two wheeler motor bike. A bike encourages me to perform better in my work since i struggled a lot during bus travel and it save me a lot of time.

Motivating students to be achievers

Indian Community Welfare Organization (ICWO), held an Educational Scholarship Award Function for the multiple marginalized children on 7th January 2017 in Anna Nagar, Chennai. The Chief Guest of the event was Thiru Dr. K.Malaisamy, I.A.S., Former Member, Parliament in Rajya Sabha. Mr.A.J.Hariharan, Secretary, ICWO while welcoming the gathering, stated that he always remembers Mr.Luc Bergeret from Belgium who has been a long term supporter to ICWO for past 15 years. He had raised lot of grants for ICWO projects specifically for Educational Scholarship for multiple marginalized children in Chennai. The scholarship awards were distributed to 175 marginalized children. The programme was organized by ICWO with the support of Village Service Trust / Mr.Luc Bergeret family & friends, Belgium.
