An Excellent Creative Display By Velammal Students

An exceptional and creative art exhibition titled VARNAA 2020 by students of Fine Arts Club of classes I to V was held at Velammal Matriculation Higher Secondary School, TS.Krishna Nagar, Chennai-37 on 22nd January 2013 in the school premises.

The highlights of the event were 2020 attractive portrayal of landscapes, portraits, modern art and cartoons.

  The event had on display 20 types of varied works of art by the students including 20 paintings on outstanding woman achievers. The exhibition had an impressive and creative display of art works, clay art, paintings and vegetable carvings. There was a live demonstration by 25 students in action at the exhibition.

Competitions For Children

Anna Nagar ‘A’ Block Ladies Association (AABLA) located at A-88, 3rd Street, Anna Nagar East had recently conducted competitions for children in Carnatic and devotional music and Thiruppaavai recitation at its premises.

 There will be a drawing, handwriting and fancy dress competition for children on 27^th January 2013 at its premises. On February 3^rd there is a sports meet at Feb. 3- Sports at Thiru Vi Ka School, Shenoy Nagar. For registration more details contact Subha on 98847 10882 or Kalaivani on 98417 53103.
