Jaigopal Garodia Memorial Inter School Tournaments


J.G.V.V. Matric. Higher Secondary School, Anna Nagar, hosted the sixth Jaigopal Garodia Memorial Inter School Volleyball Tournament in which 38 teams in the city participated. Sitadevi Garodia Memorial Inter School Table Tennis Tournament was hosted for the fifth consecutive year in which 17 teams in the city participated. 

The valedictory and prize distribution of the Jaigopal Garodia was recently held in the school premises. Shri. S. Dakshinamoorthy, FIVB, Level III Coach, Sports Authority of India presided over the function and distributed the prizes. Shri. Ashok Kediaji, Managing Trustee and Shri. P.K.Somanathan, Trustee of JGVV Trust participated in the function.

Training Programme on Preparation Of Bakery Products


A one day training programme on 'Preparation of Bakery Products’  will be conducted at  Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Information and Training Centre (TNAU I&TC) on Thusday, 26.07.2012.

Doing Good Service

Cross Blood Foundation is a registered charitable trust, was started in 1999 with a vision to help people in need of blood. N.L.Hariharan is the Founder-President of Cross Blood Foundation which is actively involved in helping and caring for the Leukaemia affected children The Foundation had a very sad beginning. 

According to Mr.Hariharan, his son Hemnath was a happy five years old until tragedy struck in 1993. He was diagnosed with leukemia. Mrs & Mr.N.L.Hariharan were shattered. Hemnath was their first son.

 He succumbed to the disease. But the disease came as a "blessing in disguise" as the seed for CBF was sown and has is doing very good service. Cross Blood Foundation is involved in giving shared care services to children who are being treated for blood cancer and other hamates ontological problems in Institute of child health and hospital for children, Egmore, Chennai more than 5 years. Periodical blood donation camps were conducted in various places to meet the demands of blood components for the children who are getting treatment in hospitals. The foundation also helps in donating certain medicines  for treating these poor children as and when it is required. The members of the foundation also arranges for recreation programs like puppet show in the hematology ward to make the children happy and to forget their sufferings. The members also take active part in Rose day every year by conducting entertainment programs and distributing sweets to the cancer children. Mr.Hariharan who is an active member of the foundation along with other members of the foundation periodically visits the hematology ward and gives counseling to the patients and the parents. 

Cross Blood Foundation Founder-President Mr.NL.Hariharan had participated in a function along with Mr.Surjit Singh  honour blood donors. The event organised by Cross Blood Foundation was held at Raj Bhavan in December 2005.The hospitals that have benefited from the blood donations are Egmore Government Children’s Hospital, General Hospital, Vijaya Hospital, Apollo Specialty and Frontier Hospital.The doctors, the staff members of the department, the patients and their parents thank the Cross Blood Foundation for all the help given to Institute of child health and hospital for children in giving total care for the cancer children who are getting treatment in Institute of child health and hospital for children.
