Train service form Beach to Anna
Nagar Railway station which was opened in 2003 was closed in the year 2006 for
the construction of Padi flyover. Even though the flyover is completed and
opened for traffic movement, the train service has not started.
The Padi
railway station wears a deserted and ugly look. Nowadays much difficulty is
experienced by commuters in Anna Nagar due to the ongoing metro rail and
flyovers construction work. If the train service is restarted it would be a
huge help for the residents of Anna Nagar. Let the Southern Railways
authorities take necessary action to restart the long pending train service
from Anna Nagar to Chennai Beach railway station for the benefit of the general
public.
