The  area around a transformer in Anna Nagar Second Avenue are used as dumping ground. Now the filth is posing health threats to them and also for visitors. Many transformers located at Main Road, has become a dumping spot, who conveniently dump their garbage near the transformer, without thinking twice about the consequences.

A walk by the transformer can be an unpleasant experience with all the household waste dumped there. The place has become a breeding ground of different kinds of mosquitoes. Another problem is that people use the place for urination.

The concerned authorities should take measures  to stop people from urinating or throwing garbage. It becomes really difficult to bear the stench and see people urinating. Authorities should do something in this regard and solve this problem.

Traffic Snarls At Choolaimedu Junction

The bust stretch of Nelson Manickam Road which connects with  Anna Arch with Gemini flyover via Sterling Road and Nungambakkam High Road and sees heavy traffic all the time. The junctions at Choolaimedu and Mehta Nagar witness frequent traffic jams.

While at the former point, an automatic signal regulates the traffic, Mehta Nagar junction has no signal.to regulate the traffic snarls and witnesses traffic congestions. Right opposite the entrance to Mehta Nagar is the bus stop to Anna Nagar; and next to the bus stop is the entrance to Gill Nagar. The bus stop on the opposite side is near the entrance to Mehtanagar near the TNSC Bank.

Vehicles from both the areas enter or exit from them and from either left or right into N.M. Road. Hence the flow of traffic is in four directions at this point. No pedestrian can risk crossing the road at these junctions. Will the authorities concerned take remedial action to mitigate the hardship to the road-users?
